They had scallops, clams, fries. It was great.
I would not pick a lobster house if you're allergic. Not exactly sure but even side items such as corn could be boiled in same water for flavour.
Lobster was ok...a little tough..corn was terrible!
Great staff. Great local lobstahs.
Lobster joint. First lobster in Maine, whole. Great taste. Wife got punctured by lobster. Ha. Good food.
Pretty good. Great wings amd fish.
Food was great, service was great!! Couldn't ask for anything more. it's dog friendly. awesome bartender upstairs Emily.
Just awesome, good prices, the small lobsters for $6.99 were all over 1 3/4 pound to 2 pounds. Not like the other place who wanted $16.99 a pound. They even gave me free butter, forks, napkins, bibs, and moist towelettes. Clean place, clean bath rooms too. They even had 3 different lobsters. Great people and friendly.
Food was ok didn't think I was in maine tho
Had an excellent meal here on our way to Acadia, it looked like fun from the outside, and we were surprised to have such a nice view from the roof deck. Solid lobster roll!
Very good place to visit. Menus show you how to eat a lobster. Utensils were helpful. Great atmosphere
Great food. Best lobster, clam chowder and loser roll in town.
I got the platter. No shrimp, but plenty of large scallops clams and haddock. The breading was perfect and was cooked well. Recommend a stop here!
Lobster and Clam dinner for two $36. Fresh lobster and clams can't be beat. Met the owner and talk about a down to earth guy. My top recommendations for this place don't let the looks fool you.
Damn good pie, and excellent lobster roll. Best prices I've found. Premium crab without the work, oh yeah!
Nice place to eat trip over By accident
New owner did not update restaurant info regarding now having liquor license. Therefore we brought our wine for no avail. They only have 3 large bottles of very low quality white wine. Better look for another place if u want to bring your own wine.
Ate the fried haddock, which was unexpectedly good (vs typical fried food). Tartar sauce was generous. Liked the cole slaw too, fresh and not heavy. There is covered seating downstairs, and more open seating upstairs. Thought the price was a bit high. But the food quality made it worthwhile.
Excellent food as always! Love this place!
Lobster was great, but small lobster roll for $16
Great lobster roll and fries! Will come back next time!
Wife enjoyed her lobster dinner and I enjoyed my haddock sandwich.
Good solid lobster and fries clams. Genuine Maine outdoor lobster pound feeling.
Over priced not the cleanest women at the window not the friendliest wife had the lobster roll and I had the burger asked for medium rare ...came well done frozen patty what do you expect... tourist trap for sure
Holistic local business!! Willing to work with me , a farmer to give me their compost able for making compost and feeding pigs and chickens !!
The fact that they package and sell seafood in cold packs for traveling is cool but the food was just okay. Had a lobster roll, a crab roll, and a cup of clam chowder. The sandwiches were decent but the clam chowder wasn't what I was expecting at all. The clams were fresh but the soup was bland. All in all it's not terrible, especially if you're looking for a place to get some lobster to take home, but I was hoping the food would be more spectacular.
Taste good, but nothing special from the cook. Lobster itself was good. Not clean.
Friendly people. Quick service. Great price on lobster by the pound. We bought 1 1/2 lobsters and had them cook them. Delicious, went back another night and repeated.
This place is AMAZING! There are so many of these Lobster Pounds around - this is THE ONE to go to!!! They have live music, a roof top deck bar made with love edge wood, live music , and the ONLY pound with a water/mountain view! The food was amazing ! Don't forget to take you photo with Larry the Lobster he's awesome!
Friendly people. Good prices. Best lobster rolls.
Food was great, service was great!! Couldn't ask for anything more.. oh and it's dog friendly! 😊😊 Definitely recommend!
Like the place and lobster could have been great but loved it
Great place for local seafood. Highly recommend.
My hubby loved his twin lobster meal. I am pickier. No overhead in this place. Prices reasonable.
Fantastic food and a great view from their new rooftop bar. It's a full bar and the drinks are great!!!
Great food and great people.
Food tasted great. The lobster shore combo could have had a full eat of corn, a full container of cole slaw for the price. Lobster and clans were good. Seafood players were cooked too perfection. Easy in and out.
Best clam chowder we have had around here. Lobster roll and fried scallops were both great.
Clean, efficient, unpretentious, simple, and relatively inexpensive. Easy parking. Counter service. Indoor, outdoor, and top deck seating. Food was great. Bowl of haddock chowder, 2lb steamer clams, lobster roll, chips, slaw, 2 hard shell 1lb lobsters, corn, slaw, orange soda was $65. All was great, except while chowder tasted good, you could tell it was microwaved. No problem. Bathrooms were very clean. Kids, old people, all type of people. Service was short but friendly. We will return every time in the area.
Reasonable prices, little wait, and friendly service!
The lobster roll was flavorful and well done! The bread could have been a little better (was just a hot dog bun). Also the outside eating area did not smell great but the food was authentic and was very fresh!
Stopped here on our way home from Bar Harbor. We were looking for a quick lobster meal and this place did the trick. Rustic dining at its finest and el fresco too!
The lobster rolls are the best around and the haddock is great. Quick service and friendly people. What more could you want?
Loved it. The food was great and I have zero complaints. The roof was enjoyable seating. Very likely that I will be visiting this location again. I have a feeling it’s seasonal though and during certain times and good weather they DO get busy. The kitchen was quick when I was there as well.
Absolutely awesome!!! It's a bit intimidating if your from out of town, because it isn't your typical restaurant. You can go in order, and take your meal to go, or eat it in the facility. You bring your own beverages, prices were incredibly fair, service was friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, and filling. We left extremely satisfied!
The staff were amazing, but the food not so good. The corn was old and mushy. The butter was that fake popcorn butter( at least thats the way it tasted) so I ate my lobster and clams without butter :( the muscles were way overcooked and tiny. The clams were ok. The coleslaw was for sure old and runny. I paid 60 dollars in total for 2 lobsters meals both of which are in the toilet, of what we ate anyway. I got sick and then my son did to. Major stomach cramps and throwing up. But like I said staff was great.
Great seafood, reasonable prices
The fish is so flaky. The Best haddock ever! Keep up the good work. Your cook is amazing❣️
Food was great. Outdoor seating was plentiful
A truly wonderful experience! Fresh lobster is not available where I live. So this was definitely a treat for me!
2019 has brought the demise of our favorite lobster pound. Prices are jacked (sit a bit and you will hear a tired watered down story of how lobsters are not shedding their shells as often as they normally do this year thus the pricier hard shelled overcooked meals that we were served last night. Corn was not fresh and local but rather overcooked soggy frozen inedible portions if a corn cob. Coleslaw was meh at best.) The rustic down east byob charm is almost gone too now that they are enclosing the open air dining upstairs to make a bar. (Really needed more seating with how busy this place was under previous ownership.) Sad to say a several decade long tradition has been ruined. Our meal was a lot more expensive and not enjoyable in the least. Wish the new owners would not have killed the best lobster dinner on the island. Shame.
Very reasonable prices and scenic location. However, quality of food is just ok. Service is mediocre. If you go later in the evening, be prepared for hoardes of mosquitoes.
